Senior Full Stack Developer

MSI Data is launching a new, dedicated AI team with a singular mission: to disrupt the Field Service software category through AI-native solutions. We are moving beyond simple automation to create intelligent, conversational, and agentic experiences that empower technicians in the field.

As a Senior Full Stack Developer and early member of this founding team, you will be the engine behind our technical delivery. Working alongside our Principal AI Architect, you will focus on high-productivity executiontranslating ambitious technical vision into robust, production-ready code.

You are a builder first. You have shipped AI solutions before, and you know how to bridge the gap between complex AI models and the hands of users. This is a role for a developer who loves to write code, solve difficult implementation challenges, and drive the teams daily momentum.

Key Responsibilities

Technician App Implementation: Develop and refine the mobile/web interfaces that serve as the technicians "copilot." Your focus is on executing a responsive, low-latency UI that functions reliably in the field.

AI Agent Integration: Implement the interaction layer for AI agents. You will take high-level designs and write the logic that manages conversation state, context retention, and multi-turn dialogue flows.

Voice Interface Optimization: Execute the hands-on optimization of real-time voice communications (WebRTC/Voice AI). You will write the code that handles interruptions and minimizes latency to ensure seamless user experiences.

Data Model Implementation: Work with the Architect to implement and extend complex equipment data schemas, ensuring the AI can effectively access and reason over industrial equipment hierarchies.

High-Velocity Delivery: Act as a lead contributor to the codebase, setting the pace for the team through high-quality, rapid output. You will champion code quality and pragmatic engineering solutions.

Production Engineering: Harden AI prototypes for production. You will implement the necessary error handling, retries, and observability to manage the non-deterministic nature of LLMs in a live environment.

Requirements

Experience: 7+ years of full-stack engineering experience with a strong portfolio of shipping complex applications.

AI in Production: You have hands-on experience building and deploying an AI/LLM-based solution to production (beyond just a PoC).

Compensation: The base salary range for this position is $175,000 $235,000. This range represents the expected salary range for candidates in the San Francisco Bay Area. Actual offers may vary for candidates in other locations based on local market rates.

Beyond the Base: Base pay is just one part of your total compensation. This role includes a target annual bonus and meaningful equity participation. Final compensation packages are tailored to the candidates experience, qualifications, and location.
