Location: Charleston, West Virginia 25301

Healthcare Setting: Level 1 Trauma Emergency Department (24 beds)

Job Type: Travel Nursing Contract

Start Date: December 29, 2025

End Date: March 30, 2026

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Shift Schedule: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (7:00pm – 7:00am), weekdays and every other weekend

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Orientation: 16 hours (every other Thursday)

Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1570-$1680

ER Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of RN experience, including at least 1 year in Emergency Room nursing

Active West Virginia or Compact RN license (pending license accepted; must be active before start date)

Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI (CPI may be obtained prior to start)

Proficient in IV starts and telemetry monitoring

First-time travel nurses welcome with relevant experience

Permanent address at least 100 miles from facility (75–100 miles considered case-by-case)

Flu vaccine required during flu season (medical exemptions accepted)

Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities

Provide high-quality emergency nursing care for trauma, neurological, orthopedic, psychiatric, and renal emergencies

Manage multiple high-acuity patients in a fast-paced clinical environment

Perform IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and emergency procedures

Float within scope to support facility needs

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy, phlebotomy, radiology, and social services

Document patient care accurately using Cerner charting system

Participate in weekend shift rotations
