Description
SAIC is currently seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Principal Software Engineer to join our team in Ashburn, VA to begin an exciting and challenging career with SAIC Federal Systems.
This is a hybrid-remote position requiring 2 days on site per week in Ashburn, VA.
Responsibilities
Active member of the agile software development team participating in all Program Increment and Sprint ceremonies.
Design and develop .Net applications including middleware applications, user interface applications (java script framework), and web services applications.
Develop and integrate with PostgreSQL server databases.
Develop software design documentation which may include design diagrams, data flow diagrams, software module descriptions, etc.
Use Integrated Development Environment (IDE) tools to include Microsoft Visual Studio and GIT
Manage software testing activities to include data setup, defect troubleshooting and resolution.
Provide Tier 3 / 4 engineering support, as needed, for solutions deployed to production.
Qualifications
Required:
Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a public trust security clearance.
Middleware and User interface driven applications.
Web Services development.
Excellent troubleshooting and resolution skills.
Multi-threaded applications; Exception handling.
Integration with hardware devices and vendor Software development Kits (SDKs).
Ability to work in team environments across a diverse set of projects with multiple stakeholders.
Javascript, Vue.js, C#, .NET Core, Web API, Visual Studio code, Jenkins, Gitlab, xUnit, SonarQube.
AWS experience.
Agile development.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a directly related field and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience; PhD and 4 years related experience.
9+ years of experience in software development/engineering.
BI Requirement
Current holder of a DHS Public Trust clearance or the ability to obtain one.
Note: Employment will be contingent upon having/obtaining a DHS Public Trust clearance prior to starting.
