Supermarket Manager

Shop Easy Hagensborg supermarket is located at 1801 Mackenzie Highway 20, Hagensborg, BC V0T 1H0. We are currently looking for a permanent, full time Supermarket Manager. If you are interested, please submit your resume by e-mail.

Position: Supermarket Manager

Wage: CAD$ 43.27/hour

Types: Full-time, Permanent (various shifts, including evening, weekends, and holidays)

Working hours: 30~40 hours/week

Benefits: 4% of vacation pay

Job Duties:

• Plan, direct, and evaluate the operations of the supermarket and its departments

• Manage staff, assign duties, and handle all staffing requirements, including hiring, training and retention

• Study market research and trends to determine consumer demand, potential sales volumes, and the effect of competitors’ operations on sales

• Determine the merchandise and services to be sold, and implement pricing and credit policies

• Source and negotiate with vendors to procure merchandise for resale as necessary

• Develop and implement marketing strategies to drive sales and profitability

• Plan budgets, authorize expenditures, and monitor revenues to ensure financial health

• Evaluate an improve customer service, and respond to customer request and issues to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction

Job Requirements:

• Completion of secondary school is required.

• Minimum 3 years of related retail or wholesale sales experience at increasing levels of responsibility required.

• A university degree or college diploma in business administration or other field related to the product or service asset.
