Entry Level Sales Representative (Life Insurance)

Job Description

The Miles Group is hiring Outside Sales Representatives to meet with individuals and families who have requested information about Final Expense life insurance.

In this role, you will contact warm leads, schedule appointments, review each client’s situation, and help them apply for a plan that fits their needs and budget. This is a field based sales position with a mix of in home and virtual appointments, supported by structured training and ongoing guidance from experienced leaders.

Responsibilities

Call and schedule appointments with people who requested information about Final Expense coverage

Conduct in home or virtual meetings to understand client needs, budget, and eligibility

Present suitable coverage options using our quoting tools and presentation

Complete and submit electronic applications through carrier systems

Follow up with clients to deliver policies and answer basic questions

Maintain accurate records of leads, appointments, and submitted policies

Participate in regular training calls and meetings for skill and product development

(You will primarily work with warm leads instead of cold calling random lists.)

There are no application fees or “buy in” fees charged by The Miles Group to apply or access training. Standard state licensing costs may apply if you do not yet have a life insurance license.

Compensation

Commission based position, paid on issued life insurance policies

No base salary

Commission structure and performance bonuses are explained during the interview process

Income will vary based on activity, skill, and results in the field

Schedule and work structure

Independent contractor / 1099

Flexible schedule, with many appointments taking place in the evenings or on Saturdays

Local travel for in person appointments in the Pittsburgh area, plus the option for virtual meetings where allowed

Requirements

Active Life Insurance License, or willingness to obtain one

If unlicensed, you must be willing to complete pre licensing and pass the state exam

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Comfortable meeting clients face to face and discussing final expenses

Reliable transportation for local travel

Smartphone and basic computer skills for e applications and online training

Self motivated, organized, and able to manage your own time

Sales or customer service experience is helpful but not required for highly coachable candidates. Bilingual candidates are welcome but it is not a requirement.Company Description
