Position: Vice President of Revenue Cycle Management
Job Summary: The Vice President of Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) is responsible for driving excellence across all aspects of the revenue cycle. This leader will spearhead system modernization and automation initiatives, streamline processes for efficiency and accuracy, and align revenue strategies with Lighthouse's financial and operational goals to support long-term growth and sustainability.
Reports to: Chief Financial Officer
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide leadership, direction, and oversight for all revenue cycle operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and financial accuracy
Develop and execute a long-term strategic vision for the RCM function aligned with Lighthouse's goals and growth
Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing revenue cycle team; foster accountability, professional growth, and continuous improvement
Manage and evaluate the performance of outsourced billing partners, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to KPIs
Assess and enhance internal processes and controls to strengthen revenue capture, reduce denials, and improve cash flow
Collaborate with Finance during the month-end close process and prepare audit documentation as needed
Establish and maintain RCM-related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure consistent application across teams
Develop and maintain meaningful dashboards and KPI reporting to monitor performance and identify improvement opportunities
Lead RCM automation efforts and implement technology-driven solutions that streamline workflows and enhance data accuracy
Build and sustain strong relationships with payers to support timely claims resolution, contract management, and issue escalation
Participate as a key stakeholder in the evaluation and implementation of a new EHR system
Support RCM integration efforts during acquisitions or expansions
Collaborate with executive leadership and clinical operations to align financial and operational priorities
Stay current on regulatory and payer updates to ensure Lighthouse remains compliant and competitive
Analyze trends, identify root causes of revenue leakage, and implement corrective strategies
Present regular RCM performance updates, findings, and recommendations to executive leadership
Support day-to-day RCM activities as needed to ensure departmental continuity and effectiveness.
Provide strategic leadership and vision for all aspects of the revenue cycle, ensuring an efficient, compliant, and high-performing function
Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and payer billing regulations
Champion continuous improvement initiatives, fostering innovation and operational excellence across the revenue cycle
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Experience/Abilities:
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare revenue cycle management, with a proven record of measurable improvement and strategic growth
Demonstrated experience in behavioral health, substance use disorder (SUD), and mental health billing
Proven success leading RCM teams and vendors within a hybrid or multi-site organization
Expertise in Medicaid billing and reimbursement models
Previous leadership in EHR selection, evaluation, and successful implementation
Experience leading RCM integration during mergers or acquisitions
Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and data visualization/reporting tools
Strong understanding of compliance, audit standards, and payer regulations
Must successfully pass BCI check, all Corporate Compliance checks, and employment drug screen
