Proven is hiring a Financial Data Analyst on behalf of our client. This role is a C2C or 1099 contract staff augmentation position with a company. This role is the connective tissue owning SQL development, semantic modeling, Fabric workspace governance, and stakeholder alignment to turn requirements into accurate, trusted finance insights.
Responsibilities
Model & Transform: Build clean, well-documented SQL in Snowflake (views,
CTEs, window functions) to power Finance reporting (project performance,
revenue, product usage).
Shape the Semantic Layer: Design star-schema models and measures (DAX)
in Power BI/Fabric semantic models; maintain metric definitions/KPIs and
prevent drift.
Own Refresh & Access: Administer Fabric workspaces (capacity, permissions,
deployment pipelines, data source credentials/refresh, gateway/personal-cloud-
connection policy), and uphold RLS where needed.
Salesforce Snowflake: Translate Salesforce object relationships (Accounts,
Opportunities/Orders, Products/Line items, custom project objects) into reliable
reporting tables.
Quality & Reconciliation: Investigate data anomalies, reconcile to the source of truth (CRM/Finance systems), and publish runbooks/tests to prevent issues from recurring.
Stakeholder Delivery: Drive requirements to deliver dashboards; facilitate
reviews, UAT, and change control; produce exec-ready views (exploratory and
leadership snapshots).
Must-haves
Strong proficiency in SQL and data modeling in Snowflake (joins, windowing,
performance basics).
Hands-on Power BI: data modeling, DAX for measures, and page/report design for
exec and exploratory use.
Working knowledge of Fabric administration: capacities, workspace roles,
semantic models, refresh, and gateways.
Familiarity with Salesforce objects relevant to project performance and revenue
reporting.
Proven experience driving stakeholder requirements to delivered solutions; crisp
documentation and communication.
