Job Title: DB2 Database Administrator

Location: Jacksonvile, FL

Work Arrangement: Hybrid(3 day onsite, 2 day remote)

Duration: 12 -18 months Contract

About the role

We are seeking a skilled DB2 Mainframe Database Developer to manage the full life cycle of DB2 mainframe databases, from analysis through decommissioning. The role involves DB2-related z/OS Database software upgrades, including DB2 Database and data replication products such as IIDr with CDC. The position requires a hybrid work schedule with a minimum of 3 day per week on-site.

Qualification

- Minimum of 5 years of DB2 DBA experience on z/OS.

- At least 1 year of experience with data replication, particularly with IIDR using CDC.

Required Skills

In-depth knowledge of Mainframe DB2 DBA (DB2 on z/OS) with a focus on replication.

Strong understanding of Infosphere Change Data Capture.

Experience with DB2 Utilities.

Working knowledge of BMC tools, including Change Manager, Catalog Manager, Mainview, and SQL Performance.

Strong understanding of VSAM file structures and IDCAMS utility.

Solid understanding of DB2 recovery options.

Broad understanding of ACF2 and RACF2 managed security for DB2 Access.

Working knowledge of Endevor.

Familiarity with ITSM Processes and tools, including BMC Remedy.

Strong communication skills. Hourly Rate: 65$-70$ per hour

This range reflects base compensation and may vary based on location, market conditions, experience, and candidate qualifications.
