An innovative manufacturing organization is looking for a Customer Focused Quality Manager with a strong foundation in plastic injection molding and a proven ability to lead customer-facing quality initiatives in the automotive space. In this role, you wont just be solving problems you'll be setting the tone for how quality is communicated, upheld, and continuously improved.

You'll be the point person when issues arise, guiding your internal team through structured problem-solving while keeping customers aligned and informed. From overseeing sorting activities to driving corrective actions and managing quality techs, your leadership will directly influence product success and customer confidence.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary interface between customers and internal teams for all quality-related matters

Initiate and oversee sorting, containment, and corrective action processes

Lead 8D investigations to drive root cause identification and sustainable solutions

Set clear expectations with customers while balancing internal capabilities and timelines

Supervise quality technicians and ensure execution of inspection procedures

Monitor and report customer-related KPIs, and track trends to prevent recurrence

Support APQP, PPAP, and change management processes to ensure product readiness

Maintain alignment with IATF 16949 and other applicable automotive standards

Recommended Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or related discipline

3+ years in a quality role within plastic injection molding, preferably in the automotive industry

Strong grasp of 8D, 5-Why, and other structured problem-solving methods

Demonstrated ability to lead and communicate in customer-driven environments

Comfortable coordinating across departments and levels within an organization

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience managing OEM or Tier 1 customer relationships

Training or certification in Six Sigma, CQE, or similar quality methodologies

Familiarity with quality reporting portals and automotive-specific documentation

Experience leading small quality teams or technicians
