Salary: $26-$28/hour
POSITION SUMMARY
This position provides integral support to multiple parts of Sinai Temples work, helping ensure our operation is a well-oiled machine, providing a positive experience for our 1,500 members and robust staff. Under the direction of the Executive Director, s/he acts as supporting and knowledgeable presence, prepared to do whatever is necessary for the smooth and effective functioning of the Temple.
This person will become the resident expert on ShulCloud-the platform through which Sinai Temple manages demographic and financial information, event registrations, and communications. S/he will play a key role in providing clear and timely correspondence with our members, for purposes ranging from life cycle information to donation acknowledgements. This position will become an invaluable member of the team, providing meaningful hand-on support to multiple departments, ranging from Membership, Programming, Bnai-Mitzvah, High Holy Days and more. Finally, this position will be the primary support person to the Temple Executive Director.
PRIMARY DUTIES
Information Management and Reporting
Maintain and update all Temple records accurately and securely
Create new member accounts
Provide data reports from ShulCloud, to assist the membership, programming, bnai-Mitzvah, clergy, ritual and Admin departments of Sinai Temple.
Establish and implement processes by which Temple updates the database and maintains clean data.
Membership Engagement: Correspondence & Communications
Generate and manage donor acknowledgement letters and tribute cards in a timely manner
Prepare life cycle emails to the community.
Bereavement Related Needs: track and generate communications to members who have recently experienced death of a loved one
Assist w/yahrzeit-related data entry
Prepare clergy condolence letters immediately following death
Prepare clergy condolence letters for thirty (30) days following death
Prepare clergy condolence letters six (6) months following death
Prepare clergy condolence letters twelve (12) months following death
Assist with tracking and sending parking stickers for access to Parking Garage
Assist with entering guest information into our Visitor Management System.
Problem-Solving /Interdepartmental Support
Bnai-Mitzvah Department, assist with multiple needs, including but not limited to:
preparing customized bnai mitzvah booklets, trope books and individual certificates
assist with monthly communications to bnai mitzvah families in the year prior to the date
Assist with Food Ordering for Meetings and Small Events
High Holidays: assist with a range of holiday specific needs, including but not limited to:
Book of Remembrance
Yahrzeit in memoriam video
Enlisting vendor support
Affiliate Groups: provide administrative support to Sisterhood, Mens Club and Chai Society
Sinai Temple Mental Health Center: assist with logistics and other tasks as needed.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of mail merge
Comfort with google forms, registration platforms, etc.
Self-motivated; takes pride in his/her work
Detail oriented and committed to quality
Must be proactive!
Attention to detail is critical
High emotional intelligence
Excellent follow-up skills and ability to meet hard deadlines in timely fashion
Jewish background and/or knowledge of Judaism is preferred
Ability to complete tasks correctly with minimal hand-holding
Interest and enthusiasm for the mission and activities of Sinai Temple.
Effectively multi-task.
Ability to work both independently and as a team.
TECHNOLOGY Requirements
Proficient with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Power Point)
Proficient communication through Microsoft Teams
MINIMUM EDUCATION
Associate degree
