WORK SCHEDULE:

Full-Time (4x10)

Day shift only, no nights, weekends, call, or holidays

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Circulate/Scrub surgical procedures including GI/Endo

Providing communication between team members in the surgical field and persons outside the operating room

Maintaining sterile environment during the surgical procedure

Conducting and documenting sponge/sharps and instrument counts as required during the surgical procedure

Completing intra-operative documentation of the procedure

Acting as the patient’s advocate during patient's stay in the operating room

Assisting with room turnover, including disposal of trash and linen, cleaning of OR table and floor, assembly and opening of sterile supplies

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

One-year operating room nursing experience is required

Two or more years of adult scrub and/or circulating experience in an ASC is highly desired

Must be skilled to function in both OR/Endo

Current RN license in the state of Virginia

BLS Certification required
