The Direct Marketing Database Developer will be working with clients and internal teams to:
Create, automate and maintain data ingestion processes for client data.
Prepare client data to power reports, ad-hoc analysis and segmentation.
Enable regular direct marketing communications through timely delivery of segmented data files.

Key Responsibilities
Partner with data analysts, account teams and client resources to understand the scope of work, priorities, and requirements for the client’s fundraising solution
Load, cleanse and summarize client data according to internal standard data load processes
Understand and work with data in varying degrees of complexity and scale
Customize data mappings and translations according to the unique business rules of your client portfolio
Devise data ingestion validation strategies for ensuring accurate and timely availability of client data
Prepare data files needed for direct marketing communications adhering to the client approved business rules
Participate in desk-checks and reviews of team members client deliverables as experience warrants
Support the data analyst team’s needs for reporting, analysis, visualization and dashboards.
Contribute to defining timelines, milestones, and project plans
The Direct Marketing Database Developer will live and breathe SQL in this role. Competence in this area must be demonstrated.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience in direct marketing whether non-profit (preferred) or commercial.
Strong T-SQL or other SQL variant.
Experience developing stored procedures, database triggers, views and other database objects as necessary.
Strong experience in at least one relational database platform such as Microsoft SQL Server (preferred), MySQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, and/or direct related experience
Three to five year’s experience in database developer roles
Knowledge of reporting technologies (e.g., SSRS, Power BI, Tableau, etc.) preferred
Strong technical problem-solving skills
Ability to adhere to work plans and track assignments with minimal guidance
Solid oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Skills in Microsoft Office suite including PowerPoint, Word and Excel
Understanding of modern AI tools and how to leverage them in day to day work
Experience with version control software such as TFVC, git or SVN a plus.
