People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver to work on curtainsider operations for our respected logistics client.

This is a full-time, permanent position offering competitive pay, modern equipment, and a supportive team environment.

Shifts: Monday to Friday - Flexible PM start times

Salary: £40,000 per annum (including night-out allowance)

Day-to-Day Duties

Drive Class 1 (C+E) vehicles safely and efficiently for tramping operations

Operate curtainsider trailers, ensuring loads are secured at all times

Conduct daily vehicle checks and maintain accurate paperwork

Complete nationwide deliveries with overnight stays (Monday-Friday)

Liaise professionally with planners, customers, and depot staff

Adhere to all company policies, traffic laws, and safety standards

Essential Skills & Requirements

Valid UK Category C+E Licence (maximum six points - minor offences only)

Valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card

Minimum of two years' Class 1 driving experience

Previous experience operating curtainsiders preferred

Physically fit and capable of manual handling when required

Experience in tramping work desirable

Training Provided

Full paid induction and onboarding

Mentoring from experienced tramper drivers

Guidance on curtainsider loading, securing, and route procedures
