We make many of our products here in our Two Rivers plant using injection molding, metal stamping, and rotational molding equipment. Are you a hands-on problem solver with a passion for precision and efficiency? We're looking for an experienced Injection Mold Process Technician to join our team and help keep our molding operations running at peak performance.
What You'll Do:
Perform and verify complete mold setup and startup for all molding machines, ensuring parameters match validated processes
Optimize molding parameters (temperature, pressure, cycle time) to ensure consistent part quality and maximize efficiency
Perform mold maintenance tasks such as cleaning, inspections, and minor repairs to prevent production interruptions
Verify part quality against specifications; identify root causes of defects (e.g., flash, short shots, sink, burn marks) and take corrective action
Document all setup parameters, adjustments, and maintenance performed to ensure accurate production records
Support tool changes and material changes to maintain production flow with minimal downtime
Ensure proper setup and function of hot runner systems, temperature controllers, water lines, and robotics
Train and mentor Setup Technicians, Operators, and new team members on safe and efficient molding setup practices
Collaborate with Maintenance and Tooling departments to identify and correct recurring machine or mold issues
Support continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing, 5S, and waste reduction projects
Requirements
Strong background in plastic injection molding, including setup and troubleshooting
Minimum of 5 years of experience in injection molding or a related manufacturing field (preferred)
Knowledge of manufacturing operations, process control, and quality systems
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, setup sheets, and work instructions
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to work independently and collaborativel
