What We Need YOU To Do: The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency wants you to join our team as a staff attorney with the Division of Materials and Waste Management (DMWM) at our Central Office in Columbus, Ohio.

As staff attorney, you'll provide legal support to DMWM with operations-critical work like reviewing and drafting environmental enforcement cases, legal contracts, covenants, and agreements.

You'll review the division's permitting and licensing activities to make sure it is meeting regulatory and administrative requirements for providing public records, notices, meetings, and hearings.

You'll act as liaison between the agency's legal, division and district offices, and the Attorney General's Office (AGO) and coordinate with the AGO on appeals and enforcement referrals and cases.

You'll provide legal advice to agency staff and respond to legal inquiries from the public and/or governmental officials.

You'll conduct legal research and support rulemaking and legislation based on your expertise in environmental, property, and administrative law.
