AWS Cloud Security Engineer

Oxford Solutions is seeking an AWS Cloud Security Engineer to lead the protection of cloud-based systems, applications, and data. This role is focused on AWS environments and will partner with Development, DevOps, and Infrastructure teams to strengthen security controls, manage vulnerabilities, and embed secure practices throughout the organization.

This is a hands-on position where you will design and implement cloud-native security solutions, enhance protections, and develop tools and procedures that safeguard sensitive workloads. Candidates with a DevOps background looking to grow into a cloud security-focused role are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and monitor cloud security models, protocols, and tools

Develop and enforce best practices for AWS cloud security

Protect infrastructure from external threats through advanced security measures

Collaborate with internal teams to drive secure practices and policies

Automate and build tools to support application and infrastructure security

Assist with penetration testing and vulnerability management initiatives Qualifications

3-5 years AWS Security or 5+ years AWS DevOps experience

Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Proficiency in AWS; knowledge of Azure and/or GCP a plus

Experience with security policies, frameworks, and network security protocols

Familiarity with frameworks: NIST CSF, OWASP DSOMM, CSA STAR, CCM

Preferred certifications: CCSP, AWS Certified - Security, GCSA, CISSP Compensation & Benefits
