CAD Designer, SolidWorks 16239 - Wichita, Kansas

Our client is involved in the modification of aircraft interiors/lightning with ongoing projects is seeking an experienced CAD Deigner for their operations in Kansas. Proficiency with Solidworks is preferred.

Jobs Roles & Responsibilities

Develops, maintains and modifies basic interior/lightning component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.

Performs tests to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.

Assists with supplier development, test and production activities and coordination with the supplier to optimize the design and achieve program goals.

Supports investigation of emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements.

Works under general supervision.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Demonstrates good problem solving skills and critical thinking

4+ years of experience with 3D modeling Solidworks preferred

Working knowledge of standard business software (MS Office Suite)

Ability to meet plan delivery deadlines when assigned

Experience in aerospace structures, materials and properties, design criteria and release processes

Aircraft and FAA experience is a major plus

Ability to work with diverse personalities
