JANUS Research Group is currently seeking a Senior Operations Research Systems Analyst for a contract to support the Deputy Chief of Staff (DCS, G8). The DCS G-8 is the principal military advisor to the Chief of Staff, Army (CSA) and the Assistant Secretary of the Army, Financial Management and Comptroller (ASA(FMC)) for the Programming phase of the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process. The DCS, G-8 coordinates with the Assistant Secretary of the Army, Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology (ASA(ALT)) on all proposed programming and process recommendations related to ongoing and future acquisition programs and science and technology initiatives. The DCS, G-8 coordinates with Army Futures Command (AFC) for program funding for all elements of the future force materiel modernization enterprise.
Relevant Competencies / Skill Levels
Bachelor's degree in operations research, applied mathematics, statistics, engineering (Systems or Industrial), or computer science
Minimum of five (5) years ORSA experience
Demonstrates expert analytical and quantitative skills in applying operations research methods to support Army resource allocation, capability development, and modernization analysis. Proficient in developing and employing models, simulations, and statistical tools to assess performance, cost, and risk across SPAR, POM, and AROC/JROC processes. Skilled in translating complex analytical results into clear, data-driven insights and recommendations that inform senior leader decisions within the DCS G-8 mission space.
Salary: $120,000 - $140,000
