Your Role as Pharmacy Director
Communicate the hospital's mission to pharmacy staff, ensuring accountability for performance while motivating continuous development.
Oversee pharmacy operations, managing scheduling, implementation of improvements, and continuous assessment to enhance departmental performance.
Provide direct patient and pharmaceutical care.
Maintain expertise in clinical pharmacy practices, including medication safety and hospital pharmacy accreditation.
Educate staff on pharmaceutical care, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
Stay informed about new medications and collaborate on budget management.
Lead various hospital committees related to quality assurance, formulary management, and safety.
Recognize and celebrate the contributions and successes of our team.
Qualifications
Licensed in good standing by the State Pharmacy Board where the hospital is located.
Completed a degree from an accredited pharmacy program or an equivalent recognized program.
At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
