As an Entry-Level Project Surveyor, you will gain hands-on experience in surveying under the guidance of a Professional Surveyor. You'll engage in various tasks while working closely with team members, utilizing surveying software and tools to prepare survey documents, perform calculations, and improve concepts. Your contributions will matter as you help prepare technical reports, troubleshoot issues, and stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in surveying.

Key Responsibilities:

Support survey staff in daily planning and coordination to ensure project completion, including drawings, legal descriptions, calculations, and research.

Execute and/or direct survey tasks across various projects, including drafting exhibits, performing survey calculations, and generating legal descriptions.

Gain valuable experience and knowledge in all aspects of surveying, both in the field and office, including preliminary surveying and construction staking.

Ensure drawings are produced in accordance with company standards and practices.

Work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders, including management, clients, and other departments.

Prioritize and execute tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment to meet project deadlines.

Maintain regular communication with assigned clients and participate in client meetings.

Assist in drafting project proposals for surveying services.

Utilize best practices in surveying techniques to enhance client projects.

Provide technical advice on surveying topics to clients and management.

Review and mark up drawings to highlight missed items or necessary changes as suggested by clients or regulatory agencies.

Participate in fieldwork for boundary and topographic surveys and construction staking as needed.

Potentially supervise direct reports in support of project activities.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

Associate's degree or certificate in Drafting, CAD Technology, Engineering Technology, or related field with at least 6 years of related experience; or a High School diploma or GED with a minimum of 8 years of related experience.

NSPS CST Level 3 certification is preferred.

Competent computer skills for daily time tracking and email communication through Microsoft Outlook.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.

Basic knowledge of TBC and Access software is preferred.

The salary range for this position is $65,783 - $117,550 annually. We offer competitive compensation based on various factors including experience and qualifications. For typical new hires, the pay range in Columbus, OH is $69,438 - $84,205.
