Role Summary:
The Sales Manager serves as PureGreen’s growth leader, owning the strategy, structure, and execution of all new business development efforts. This role is directly responsible for driving top-line revenue, opening new markets, and building a high-performing sales team that reflects the company's values and ambition. The Sales Manager plays a critical role in shaping company direction by collaborating with ownership and branch leadership on long-term growth planning, pipeline forecasting, and market positioning. This is a senior-level leadership role with broad influence across departments and direct impact on PureGreen’s future.
Core Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Development
Recruit, hire, and retain top sales talent
Train and mentor Sales Representatives to meet individual and team performance goals
Set clear expectations, KPIs, and development plans for each team member
Conduct regular one-on-ones and team meetings to track progress and support performance
Sales Strategy & Growth Planning
Own and execute PureGreen’s revenue growth and market expansion strategy
Develop quarterly and annual sales plans that align with company targets
Analyze pipeline, close rates, and lead sources to improve strategy
Identify growth markets and opportunities across service lines
Business Development & Client Acquisition
Generate new business through outreach, networking, and lead generation systems
Build relationships with local associations, referral partners, and prospects
Ensure strong CRM usage and disciplined lead follow-up by the team
Assign and balance leads across Sales Representatives based on capacity and fit
Client Relationship Development
Serve as the face of PureGreen with strategic prospects during the sales process
Maintain relationships with key clients to identify upsell and expansion opportunities
Ensure seamless handoff from sales to Account Management and Operations
Support long-term client retention through initial sales experience quality
Proposal & Estimating Oversight
Review proposals for accuracy, competitiveness, and alignment with goals
Collaborate with Estimators to ensure consistent pricing and margin targets
Approve final proposals before delivery to prospects
Maintain proposal quality standards and support estimating process improvements
Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with Branch Managers, Account Managers, and Operations to align sales and delivery
Communicate prospect feedback to help refine offerings and service approach
Participate in strategic planning sessions with ownership and department leaders
Promote alignment between sales efforts and operational capabilities
