URGENT HIRE: Customs Specialist - Pittsburgh, PA (Hybrid)

A top-tier legal team in Pittsburgh is urgently seeking a Customs Specialist to support attorneys on complex customs, import, and trade compliance matters. If you have deep knowledge of customs regulations, HTS classification, valuation, and trade compliance audits - this role puts you at the center of high-impact international trade work.

Key Responsibilities:

Support attorneys on customs classification, valuation, duty drawback, and Free Trade Agreements (USMCA)

Assist with in-bond transfers and trade compliance audits

Prepare and respond to CF-28, CF-29, Customs audits, Protests, and Prior Disclosures

Conduct research and analysis related to U.S. customs laws and import regulations

Collaborate with attorneys and clients on enforcement matters and trade-related strategies

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Business, Law, or related field

- (Customs broker license, legal experience, or equivalent on-the-job experience preferred)

3+ years in customs compliance, trade law, or related field

Strong working knowledge of U.S. customs laws, HTS, and import regulations

Hands-on experience with customs filings, duty drawback, and classification rulings

Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative legal environment

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research tools

Preferred Qualifications:

Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) or 3+ years as a Customs Import Specialist

Experience with trade remedy laws (antidumping, countervailing duties)

Familiarity with global trade compliance programs (CTPAT, ITAR, EAR)
