Mental Health Technician

About the Role:

We are seeking Mental Health/Developmental Disabilities Technicians (MHDDT) to join our team at VA Medical Center in Topeka, Kansas in a full-time capacity or locum tenens.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma

Valid Driver's License

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds repetitively and requires physical strength to frequently bend, stoop, walk, push, pull, twist, squat, and lift patients with assistance

Responsibilities:

Provide direct, basic care and supervision to patients and residents at state hospital

Perform location checks, both observing and monitoring

Perform environmental cleaning tasks
