ER physician needed in West Burlington, IA!

Rate is $250/hour

Evening shift ( 12p to 12a or 1p to 1a)

17% of ED patients admitted to the hospital per day

2% of ED patients transferred per day

27 beds

8 ED physicians in group

No fast track in ED

All ages - pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric

EMR: Cerner

Level 4 Trauma

ED staff responds to house codes - there are hospitalists 24/7, ED doctors respond to codes

Deliveries are sent directly to Labor and Delivery, not received in ED

ED is responsible for monitoring/supervising paramedics/ambulance by radio

24-hour availability for Radiology, Laboratory, OR, Anesthesia

Surgical Services: CT, Vascular, Ortho

Description of consultants: Radiologist, Critical Care Intensivist, Cardiologist, Pulmonologist, Neurologist, Urologist, Hem/Onc, Psychiatrist

ED sees about 80 to 100 patients in a 24 hour shift. A typical day has 5 providers on per 24 hours

Housing, flight, and rental car provided

Board Certified/Board Eligible - Required (client not currently considering IM/FM)

Active IA license - Required

ATLS (preferred), ACLS, BLS, PALS - Required by start date
