Travel Nursing Job Details

Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)

Location: Urbana, Illinois (61801) – Illinois nursing jobs

Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Contract

Start Date: January 5, 2026

End Date: April 4, 2026

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Shift: 12-hour day shifts (9:00 AM – 9:30 PM), plus 2-week night rotation for all travel nurses

Call Requirement: 2 call shifts per 6-week schedule (13-hour call shifts; onsite within 1 hour if called)

Estimated Weekly Pay: $2070 - $2120

Employment Type: W2 Travel Nursing

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience

Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing

BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (American Heart Association)

Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills

ER RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality patient care in the Emergency Department, following clinical protocols and standards

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans with providers, patients, and families

Implement and adjust nursing interventions based on patient needs and ongoing evaluation

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all nursing care

Promote patient and staff safety by adhering to hospital safety standards and addressing hazards promptly

Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, patients, and families for optimal outcomes

Participate in ongoing professional development and provide feedback to peers

Fulfill departmental competencies and proactively identify learning needs
