Job Title: PACU Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Contract
Location: Columbus, OH 43210 (Ohio nursing jobs)
Unit: Perianesthesia - 4 Rhodes / Doan (PACU)
Start Date: January 12, 2026
End Date: April 13, 2026
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Night shift; 4x10-hour shifts/week (23:00 - 07:30)
Weekend Requirements: 1-2 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
Hours per Week: 40
Estimated Weekly Salary: $2040-$2090
Patient Population: Adults & Geriatrics
Unit Size: 20 beds; daily census 30-50
Self-scheduling available
PACU RN Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of recent PACU or critical care RN experience
Active Registered Nurse license (compact or Ohio state license required)
Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Level 1 Trauma experience preferred
Proficiency with telemetry, ventilators, and electronic charting systems
Ability to provide two professional references (one from a manager/director or supervisor)
Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
PACU Nurse Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality, compassionate post-anesthesia care in a Level 1 Trauma PACU setting
Monitor and assess patient recovery, including vital signs, pain management, and consciousness levels
Administer medications, blood products, and manage IV and central lines
Utilize advanced nursing skills: telemetry, ventilator management, dysrhythmia recognition, and care of ventilated patients
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, respiratory, pharmacy, and rapid response
Maintain accurate and timely documentation using electronic charting systems
Participate in self-scheduling and adhere to weekend and holiday coverage requirements
