Key Job Details – ICU RN Travel Assignment

Location: Hyannis, Massachusetts (Cape Cod, 02601)

Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: January 5, 2026 – End: April 4, 2026)

Estimated Weekly Pay: $2100 – $2250

Healthcare Setting: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU); float between units

Hours: 36 hours per week, guaranteed

Shift: 12-hour rotating night shifts (7:00pm – 7:30am), every other weekend, rotating holidays

Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN), W2 position

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification

Completion of pharmacology and basic arrhythmia exams (or willingness to complete upon hire)

Effective English communication skills (reading, writing, speaking)

Minimum 1 year of prior critical care nursing experience required

Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), CCRN, TCAR, de-escalation certification, advanced skills in hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator care, and intracranial pressure monitoring

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

Provide patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in ICU and CVICU settings

Administer medications and monitor patient responses

Maintain accurate patient records and documentation

Float between ICU and CVICU units to support patient care needs

Direct and guide patient care, teaching, and activities of ancillary personnel

Demonstrate proficiency in computerized nursing informatics systems

Serve as a resource for patient care, orientation, and staff education

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and comply with hospital policies

Adhere to safety protocols and maintain patient confidentiality

Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain required nursing documentation
