Principal Technical Architect
Job Duties (Description of specific duties in a typical workday for this position):
Lead the development and positioning of Big Data and Analytics Solution architectures to support RFx’s for DoD/IC, FedCiv and SLED customer opportunities.
Present to existing and potential executive and technical customers to position OST as the preferred solution provider
Mentor junior Solution Architects in solution development, system integration, data engineering, AI/ML analytics, and secure application development.
Participate in program and project reviews, system performance analysis, and issue resolution across Federal and commercial customers.
Interface with contractors, customers, and internal technical teams to align technical solutions with business and mission needs.
Travel as required to support federal agency initiatives, testing events, client meetings, and operational support—both CONUS and OCONUS.
Lead proposal and existing customer facing teams in applying Advanced Analytics, Data Governance practices as part of enterprise-scale solution delivery.
Support digital transformation efforts including legacy modernization, cloud migration, and zero-trust security architecture.
Requirements (Years of experience, Education, Certifications):
15+ years of technical execution and leadership experience in enterprise IT architecture and analytics
Bachelor’s degree in technology Field
US Citizen
DoD/ IC Top Secret Clearance preferred (eligible required
Extensive RFx Proposal acting as technical team lead, writing and support
Extensive experience in presenting and demonstrating complex technologies and solutions clearly in front of executive level audiences with the ability dive deep when needed.
Deep experience working with FedCiv and DoD/IC ATO requirements (IL 4 -6 and higher)
Proven hands-on experience with of AWS, Azure and/or Google Managed Services (EC2, ECR, S3, Lambda, etc.)
Proven hands-on experience in architecting, designing and deploying a wide range of enterprise solutions such Databricks, Snowflake, SAS Viya, Collibra, Pega, ServiceNow etc. in cloud and on-prem environments
Strong background in data governance, engineering, integration, ETL, and analytics
Proven hands-on experience working with analytics tools such as Python, Amazon SageMaker, Azure Synapse Analytics, Vertex AI, SAS Viya.
Experience of working in a cross-functional environment working with Business Development, Product Management, and customer embedded teams.

Experience Leading and Mentoring junior team members
Experience with newly emerging technologies such as Digital Twins, Agentic AI, and Quantum computing
Cloud Architect Associate and Cloud Practitioner Certifications (AWS, Azure, Google)
Platform Administration and Advanced Analytics Certifications (SAS Institute)
Experience supporting Federal Customers such as DoD/IC clients including US Army, Airforce, Navy and/or Space Force) as well as DHS and/or FAA
Strong understanding of cybersecurity and insider threat systems
DoD/ IC Top Secret or higher Clearance
Knowledge and experience with FAA Non-NAS IT systems and NAS systems (e.g. ERAM, STARS, TBFM, TFMS) and advanced ATM concepts (e.g. TBO, SWIM, DataComm, FF-ICE, UAS/AAM)
Understanding of the FAA FCS and experience with Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure in the FAA environment
Understanding of NAS Enterprise Architecture and other FAA mission/vision artifacts, FAA AMS and JRC process and familiarity and understanding of the FAA AIT organization
