Global Investment Banking organization seeks motivated & driven Desktop Engineer to join our growing IT team in our NYC flagship office. This role is ideal for someone early in their IT career who is passionate about technology, eager to learn, and ready to grow into more advanced engineering responsibilities. You will assist with deploying, maintaining, and supporting desktop systems, hardware, and software across the organization in a fast-paced trading environment. This role is best for a team player who works well with others.

Key Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day technical support for end users, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and peripheral issues.

Assist with setting up, imaging, and configuring Windows desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.

Support user onboarding and offboarding, including account setup, equipment distribution, and workstation preparation.

Perform routine system updates, patching, and software installations using management tools .

Help maintain and update asset inventory, ensuring accurate tracking of all end-user devices.

Support the Desktop Engineering team with device lifecycle management, including repairs, replacements, and decommissioning.

Collaborate with IT teams to ensure security standards, policies, and configuration baselines are followed.

Document processes, solutions, and troubleshooting steps in the IT knowledge base.

Escalate complex issues to senior engineers as needed while continuing to learn and contribute. Required Qualifications

1–2 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or desktop support (or equivalent training/education).

Basic understanding of Windows operating systems and common enterprise software.

Familiarity with Active Directory, user permissions, and account management.

Knowledge of network fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, VPN) is a plus.

Strong working knowledge of cybersecurity best practices

Experience with hardware troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, and peripherals.

Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Ability to work off hours (evenings & weekends as needed) Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

Exposure to Cybersecurity platforms, Cloud services and Microsoft Administration.

Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell, or similar).

Experience supporting remote and hybrid employees.
