We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer / Designer for a short-term contract role focused on creating detailed, instruction-style assembly documentation from SolidWorks CAD models.
This position requires strong mechanical design expertise and visualization skills to support an innovative housing solution project.
Duration: Approximately 3 months Start Date: ASAP Schedule: Full-time, extended hours (9 AM-7/9 PM), able to work overtime occasional nights/weekends Key Responsibilities + Develop comprehensive assembly instructions for: + Structural systems + Interior build-outs + Finishing components + Ancillary systems + Translate 3D SolidWorks models into clear, user-friendly 2D visuals for non-technical audiences.
+ Utilize visualization tools such as SolidWorks Composer, Cadasio, or similar platforms to produce shop drawings and visual documentation.
Required Skills + Proficiency in SolidWorks, including large assemblies (~500,000 parts). + Strong understanding of mechanical systems and design principles.
+ Experience creating shop drawings and technical documentation.
+ Familiarity with visualization tools (Composer preferred). + Experience in large assemblies, industrial automation, automotive, or similar sectors.
Preferred Skills + Experience with prefabricated housing or modular construction.
+ Knowledge of advanced visualization tools beyond Composer.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.
