Job Title: Telecom Engineer – Teams Calling Specialist Location: Any Employment Type: Contractor Experience Level: Senior (7+ years)
Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Telecom Engineer with deep expertise in Microsoft Teams Calling to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in telecommunications, proven experience in designing and implementing Teams Calling solutions, and the ability to collaborate with advisors and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and Implementation:
o Architect and deploy Microsoft Teams Calling solutions, including Direct Routing and Operator Connect.
o Configure voice policies, dial plans, and call queues to meet organizational needs. • Requirements Gathering:
o Work closely with advisors and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Integration & Troubleshooting:
o Ensure seamless integration with existing telephony systems and troubleshoot issues related to Teams voice services.
• Documentation & Training:
o Create detailed technical documentation and provide training/support for end-users and IT teams. • Compliance & Security:
o Ensure solutions adhere to organizational security standards and regulatory compliance.
Required Qualifications
• Experience:
o Minimum 7 years in the telecommunications industry, with at least 3 years focused on Microsoft Teams Calling.
• Technical Skills: o Strong knowledge of SIP, Clients (Session Border Controllers), PSTN connectivity, and VoIP technologies.
o Hands-on experience with Microsoft Teams administration and PowerShell scripting. •
Soft Skills: o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with advisors and stakeholders.
o Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
• Microsoft Teams Voice Engineer certification (MS-720) or equivalent.
• Experience with enterprise-scale deployments and hybrid environments.
• Familiarity with network QoS and monitoring tools
