**Job Description** We are currently seeking a strong Solder-Assembly Technician, who will be based out of our Exton, PA location.

You will be responsible for utilizing core skills in surface mount technology (SMT), manufacturing, soldering, and electrical wiring to assemble and test electronic components.

This role involves cross-training opportunities in other departments to enhance skills and support team needs.

**Essential Job Functions:** + Perform quality checks on components and completed assemblies.

+ Perform precision soldering using soldering irons.

+ Work from drawings and process documentation.

+ Inspect solder joints per IPC-A-610 standards.

+ Maintain a clean work station.

+ Work with engineers to provide input on soldering techniques and contribute to product improvement and innovation.

+ Mark and tag components so that stock inventory can be tracked and identified.

+ Fill out work routers and other related paperwork accurately.

+ Operate and maintain soldering equipment, including soldering irons, hot air guns, solder pots, and soldering stations, ensuring they are in proper working condition.

+ Operate SMT pick and place machine for PCB assembly.

+ Preparing soldered sub-assemblies for use in production.

**Requirements:** + Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ Experience with PCB assembly.

+ Capable of soldering and de-soldering of surface mounted devices and through hole components.

+ Experience using hand tools, power tools and digital multimeter.

+ Knowledge of different soldering materials, fluxes, and solders, and their appropriate usage.

+ Good organizational and record-keeping skills.

+ Ability to work independently and as a team player within a small team.

+ Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

+ Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

+ Understand basic ESD (electro-static discharge) handling requirements.

+ Demonstrates the ability to concentrate for extended periods on highly repetitive tasks.

+ Ability to meet production rates with a high level of quality.

+ Ability to manipulate and work with tedious and small parts.

+ Familiarity with electronic components, assemblies and manufacturing techniques is required.

+ Must adhere to scheduled start times and maintain reliable attendance.

+ Ability to sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time + Perform other duties as assigned outside of normal soldering work as required.

**Desired skills:** + IPC 610/620/JSTD or equivalent certifications are a plus.

+ 3+ years of soldering/assembly experience preferred.
