The Executive Director of Access Strategy & Marketing for Otsuka's CNS portfolio plays a crucial role in shaping and implementing access strategies and marketing initiatives for our medications in the United States. This leadership position is integral to the development of our brand's value proposition for U.S. payers and healthcare channels.

This role is located in Princeton, with opportunities for remote work, and reports to the Vice President of the CNS Business & Customer Engagement Operations unit.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage a talented team focused on creating access strategies and marketing materials for both current and future CNS products.

Collaborate with brand and business leadership to align U.S. brand access strategies and operational plans.

Shape enterprise-wide access strategies and policies in partnership with business unit leaders.

Foster a culture of continuous development and engagement within the access strategy and marketing team, ensuring we attract top industry talent.

Define and implement strategies to achieve access goals by enhancing communication and positioning of our clinical value propositions.

Determine evidence generation needs and coordinate with brand and HEOR/Medical teams for developing compelling value propositions.

Work closely with global and U.S. brand teams to integrate access considerations into product development programs.

Collaborate with business development teams to ensure U.S. market access considerations are included in potential acquisition deals.

Monitor legislation impacting patient access and collaborate with the government affairs team to craft responsive strategies.

Support pricing and contracting strategies in conjunction with the Pricing & Contracting team.

Lead transformation initiatives across multiple therapeutic areas.

Conduct market access channel assessments, including research on specific payers and advocacy groups, to refine approaches in the marketplace.

Ensure the access strategy team remains informed about market dynamics and incorporates valuable insights into overall strategy and planning.

Collaborate with the brand marketing team to develop tailored market access collateral for client-specific campaigns.

Serve as a strategic partner and advisor in U.S. access strategy and marketing.

Willingness to travel up to 30% as required.

Qualifications:

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited college or university.

12+ years of experience in market access, pricing, contracting, reimbursement strategy, and payer marketing.

Deep understanding of factors influencing U.S. market access, reimbursement trends, payer concerns, and healthcare policy.

Extensive knowledge of the U.S. payer landscape and how healthcare players make decisions across private and public channels.

Proven track record in implementing strategic plans in the pharma or healthcare sector.

Experience in product marketing, launches, and lifecycle management.

Collaboration with cross-functional teams such as Pricing & Contracting, Marketing, Sales, Medical Affairs, and Government Affairs.

Demonstrated leadership capabilities within teams and across functions.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred:

MBA or advanced degree preferred.

In-depth experience in CNS therapeutic areas preferred.

The salary range for this position is $245,454.00 - $381,110.00, along with an incentive opportunity. Actual pay will depend on experience and skills relative to internal benchmarks.
