Travel Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN) Jobs – Night Shift in Columbus, Ohio

Med/Surg Tele RN Job Details

Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Contract

Location: Columbus, Ohio 43210

Start Date: January 5, 2026

End Date: April 6, 2026

Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Hours per Week: 36

Estimated Weekly Salary: $1940-$1990

Patient Ratio: 1:4

Unit: Acute care ortho trauma with progressive care (PCU) patients

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience

Active Registered Nurse license (compact RN license or Ohio RN license required)

BLS and IV certification required

ACLS certification preferred

Experience with EPIC electronic health record (EHR) system required

Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program

Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions considered)

2 professional references required (at least 1 from a nurse manager, director, or formal leadership)

Ability to float to various units within the healthcare organization as needed

Previous charge nurse and Level I trauma experience preferred

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with acute ortho trauma and progressive care needs

Perform IV starts, medication administration, patient monitoring, and patient education

Utilize EPIC for accurate charting and clinical documentation

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and social services

Manage and care for central lines, chest tubes, surgical drains, tracheostomies, and wound vacs

Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias, arterial blood gases (ABGs), and titrate cardiac and insulin drips as needed

Support patients through substance withdrawal, traumatic brain injury, and complex medical diagnoses

Float to other nursing units within the OSU healthcare system as required
