Precision Tools Service, Inc. (PTS) operating in North America is a leader in the automotive and machine tool industry. PTS was established in 1988 and has grown to have twelve branches across the U.S. and one in Canada.
PTS is a subsidiary of Toyo Corporation, a Japan based distribution company that specializes in machine tools and precision measuring tools. They have been in business since 1955 suppling tools primarily to the Japanese automotive industry.
In 2017, PTS purchased an automation company operating now as PTS Automation, Inc. They provide products to fit our customers manufacturing needs such as panel components, robots, safety, electrical and pneumatic devices to name a few.
We are now a unique form of industrial distribution by offering Automation and Technical Support for all our North America offices. Our "Customer First" services provide manufacturing advantages to our customers and generate financial success for both our customers and for ourselves.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Enter sales orders accurately and in a timely manner
Place purchase orders with vendors for non-stock and stock items
Expedite and track order shipments
Support sales staff to obtain quotes from vendors
Review open orders reports on a weekly basis and expedite with vendors where appropriate
Resolve problems for customers and return customer calls promptly
Complete administrative tasks correctly and on time
Communicate with outside sales staff regarding customer, inquiries, quotes, and orders
Stock management
Marketing
All other tasks as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED
1 to 3 years of inside sales experience and preferably with an industrial distributor
Knowledge of cutting tools, abrasives, pneumatics, maintenance, repair and operating is a plus
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel with aptitude to learn new computer applications
Self-motivate and results oriented
Willing and able to work independently and as part of a team
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize work appropriately
Demonstrated sense of urgency and decisiveness
Ability to react well under the pressure of a fast-paced environment and follow through on commitments
