Pulse Staffing is seeking a dynamic and experienced Pharmacy Manager to lead our pharmacy operations with enthusiasm and expertise. Duties
Lead and supervise all pharmacy operations, ensuring adherence to state and federal regulations, including HIPAA privacy standards.
Oversee medication dispensing processes, including compounding medications and IV infusion preparations, maintaining aseptic techniques and safety protocols.
Manage inventory levels meticulously to prevent shortages or excess, utilizing pharmacy software and EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems for accurate tracking.
Provide clinical pharmacy services such as patient assessment, medication therapy management, pain management strategies, and medical management consultations.
Collaborate with healthcare teams on patient care plans, including pediatrics, critical care, acute care, and LTC (Long-Term Care) settings.
Conduct patient service activities like immunizations, medication administration guidance, IV insertion, and patient education on physiology and anatomy concepts.
Ensure staff compliance with medical terminology standards, HIPAA regulations, and aseptic techniques while fostering a culture of continuous improvement in patient safety and service quality.
Qualifications
Valid Texas pharmacist license with current registration in the relevant jurisdiction.
Extensive experience in pharmacy practice within hospital or acute care environments; LTC pharmacy experience is highly desirable.
Proven leadership skills with prior experience managing pharmacy teams or supervising pharmacy technicians.
Strong clinical background with knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, immunizations, pain management, and medication administration.
Hands-on experience with pharmacy software systems, EMR/EHR platforms, and inventory management tools.
Critical care experience or residency training in a hospital setting is preferred; additional expertise in pediatrics or immunizations is a plus.
Demonstrated ability to perform compounding medications following aseptic techniques; proficiency in IV infusion procedures and IV insertion is advantageous.
