Who Are We Looking For?

The Quality Technician we're searching for will support Superfeet's commitment to delivering consistent, high-quality products by performing hands-on inspections, monitoring manufacturing processes, and driving detailed process improvements. This role works closely with Production and Product Development to identify variation, validate corrective actions, and ensure that quality standards are met across all product lines.

What You'll Do:

Product Inspection & Verification

Perform in-process and final inspections on foam, plastic parts, and assembled components using measurement tools (calipers, gauges, templates, fixtures).

Document measurement results, defects, and deviations; escalate non-conformances according to quality procedures.

Conduct visual, dimensional, and functional testing to verify conformance to specifications and drawings.

Support incoming inspection for supplier materials.

Process Control & Improvement

Monitor production processes for variation and recommend and help implement improvements.

Participate in root-cause analysis and corrective action activities (5 Whys, Pareto charts).

Identify opportunities to standardize work methods, reduce scrap, and improve consistency in molding, trimming, bonding, and finishing operations.

Partner with operators to validate process changes and ensure updates are properly documented.

Documentation & Reporting

Maintain accurate inspection records, quality logs, and KPI reports.

Create or update work instructions, standard operating procedures, and visual standards to reflect process improvements.

Provide clear feedback to production teams on trends, recurring issues, and product performance.

Cross-Functional Support

Collaborate with Production and Product Development during trials, new product introductions, and material changes.

Assist with testing new Product Development, verifying fit and function, and providing measurement data during development.

Train production staff on updated inspection criteria, tools, and quality standards.

Your Skills and Abilities:

Strong measurement skills; ability to interpret drawings, tolerances, and specifications.

Experience with basic quality tools (SPC, control charts, AQL sampling, CAPA methods).

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, charts, formulas) and statistical analysis tools.

Ability to identify process variation and recommend practical improvement steps.

Strong documentation and communication skills; comfortable working cross-functionally.

Attention to detail and commitment to product consistency and customer experience.

Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Strong organizational and time management skills, with a proven track record of meeting deadlines.

Adaptable and flexible in a fast-paced environment.

Consistently displays initiative and drive to achieve goals.

Ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Reliable, accountable, and dedicated to producing high-quality work.

Must be able to lift up to 50lbs

Your Qualifications:

1-3 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, or Manufacturing Inspection

(footwear, plastics, foam molding, or similar preferred).

Compensation:

$27 - $29 per hour DOE + Company & SMART Bonus opportunities
