Embrace the present, share the past and transform the future.rnPosition: Fall Internship - Human ResourcesrnType: Unpaid InternshiprnSchedule: Part-time, unpaid position from Monday, September 9, 2024- December 6, 2024.

Flexible schedule, but must work 4 hours shifts.rnApplication Period: Applications will be accepted until July 31, 2024.

Once the position closes, applications will be reviewed and those candidates best fitting the needs of the position will be contacted for an interview.rnLocation: Ohio History Center rnReports to: Volunteer CoordinatorrnAbout Ohio History Connection:rnThe Ohio History Connection, formerly the Ohio Historical Society, is a statewide history organization with the mission to spark discovery of Ohio's stories.

Chartered in 1885, the OHC carries out history services for Ohio and its citizens focused on preserving and sharing the state's history.

This includes housing the state historic preservation office, the official state archives, local history office and managing more than 50 sites and museums across Ohio.rnSummary:rnThis position will assist with the operations of the volunteer and internship programs at Ohio History Connection.

This includes administrative tasks and project management.rnEssential Functions:rnrnAssist in project planning and management of the volunteer program, including evaluating the current program and implementing changes to make it strongerrnAttend meetings alongside the volunteer coordinator to learn more about the collaboration between departments and stakeholdersrnAttend volunteer and internship fairs as needed with the volunteer coordinator or other OHC staff members rnOrganize and digitize volunteer and intern recordsrnrnRequired Education, Skills, Experience:rnrnMust be enrolled in an academic program OR a recent graduate from an academic program (within one year)rnAny majors accepted, but preference is with students seeking work in the museum and non-profit fieldrnExperience with Microsoft Office preferred.

rnWillingness to learn Track It Forward (volunteer and intern management software)rnrnRequired Competencies:rnrnWorks well both independently and with and in support of colleagues to complete work.rnDemonstrates a potential to communicate well in written and verbal communications, including informal mediums like email and meetingsrnMust be detailed oriented, and able to learn complex processes.rnMust have a genuine curiosity for non-profit and museum work rnrnOther Requirements:rnrnMust complete a background check and internship onboarding paperworkrnMust create and account, log internships hours and sign up for internship shifts via Track It ForwardrnMust be available to attend fall intern welcome day on Monday, September 9 2024rnMust present at the fall internship summitrnrnEducation and Experience Outcomes:rnrnLearn about the administrative tasks of operating an internship and volunteer program at a museum and non-profitrnGain valuable experience in managing volunteers and internsrnrnApplication InstructionsrnTo apply, visit www/ohiohistory.org/jobs and use the Applicant Tracking System to apply.
