Licensed Speech Language Specialist
Qualifications:
Active state license as a Speech Language Pathologist or currently pursuing licensure.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) is mandatory.
Current CPR certification is necessary.
Preferred: A minimum of one year professional experience.
Additional qualifications may be required based on specific assignments.
Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality speech therapy services and interventions following physician orders.
Conduct patient assessments, develop detailed treatment plans, evaluate progress, and adjust care to meet therapy objectives.
Assist patients in enhancing their speech, voice, language, and communication skills for improved effectiveness.
Implement techniques to strengthen swallowing muscles and teach methods for safe swallowing.
Set realistic, personalized goals that support patients in restoring or improving their communication and swallowing abilities, fostering educational, vocational, and social interactions.
