We’re looking for an organized, confident, people-focused Assistant Property Manager to support daily operations at one of our professionally managed apartment communities. You’ll be the right hand to the Property Manager, helping keep the community running smoothly, residents satisfied, and financial performance tight. This isn’t a desk-only job — you’ll be involved in leasing, resident relations, collections, maintenance coordination, and problem-solving. Responsibilities: Resident Relations & Customer Experience • Be the primary point of contact for residents and prospects; deliver friendly, solution-focused service. • Manage resident communication with clarity, urgency, and professionalism. • Resolve resident concerns and escalate issues appropriately. Leasing & Renewals • Assist with leasing efforts, tours, follow-ups, and application processing as needed. • Drive renewal conversations, negotiate lease terms, and maintain strong renewal percentages. • Ensure prospects and residents receive accurate information and exceptional service. Collections & Delinquency Management • Monitor rent collections daily and proactively reach out to residents with outstanding balances. • Follow delinquency procedures, issue notices, and coordinate with third-party vendors when required. • Maintain accurate records and communicate status updates to leadership. Maintenance Coordination • Receive, track, and follow up on work orders to ensure timely completion. • Coordinate with maintenance teams and vendors to keep the property in excellent condition. • Communicate updates to residents and ensure issues are closed out properly. Operations & Administration • Assist with preparing reports, managing files, and completing resident documentation. • Support compliance with company policies, fair housing, and local/state regulatory requirements. • Protect revenue by accurately applying fees, charges, and lease terms. • Support property-level projects, inspections, and audits. Qualifications: Required • Prior experience in property management, leasing, or customer service. • Strong communication skills — written and verbal — with a natural ability to connect with people. • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple priorities without dropping the ball. • Proficient with property management software (AppFolio, Yardi, RealPage, or similar). • Ability to work on-site, full-time, and handle occasional after-hours needs when required. Preferred • Experience with multifamily leasing or assistant manager duties. • Knowledge of fair housing laws and leasing/renewal practices. • Comfort with collections, notices, and managing delinquency steps. • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus. Compensation:
$45,000-$60,000 per year
