Database Administration Senior Advisor (0251503)

Design, implement, and optimize large-scale databases in regulated and performance-critical domains which also include high availability, multi-tenant architecture, replication, and sharding across Multi-region Datacenters. Manage multi-terabyte enterprise healthcare data environments with advanced replication, hybrid architecture, and capacity planning. Utilize database administration skills in 12c, 19c, 19c RAC and ExaCC, 19c on OCI, 12c/19c ASM in Linux, for database upgrades and RHEL migrations. Standardize database lifecycle operations using automations tools, such as Ansible, and APIs. Hybrid work schedule.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computers or Engineering or a related field and 5 years of Database Administration experience. (or Master’s degree in Computers or Engineering or a related field and 4 years of Database Administration experience). Must have experience with: Oracle on-prem, OCI, ExaCC and ADB Administration; Tuning Databases using smart scan, HCC and flash cache; Full-stack performance optimization; Forecasting Capacity planning of databases which are limited to memory, IOPS, and storage by analyzing through data; Implementing and configuring Oracle management databases using VPD (virtual private database); Configuring databases across environments and standardizing the effort using Shell and running via Ansible; Upgrading and migrating production and development databases from 12c to 19c both off-site and in-place methods; Enterprise database migrations to ExaCC using oracle Hybrid Dataguard setup; Proactive diagnostics using AWR, AHF and SQL plan Baselines including optimizing complex queries; Performance tuning on ORM-generated SQL via hibernate, entity framework and tune them in stored procedures; Implementing Smart scan offloading, Storage indexes, and hybrid columnar compression (HCC) on ExaCC databases; Designing machine learning models to adapt silent version upgrades and rollback validation logics; Drift detection; Advanced queuing; Sharding; and, Red-Hat Linux and Oracle Linux (RHEL6, RHEL7, OL7).

$147,075.00/year. This position is eligible for standard company benefits.
