Shift Timing: 3rd Shift – 10:00 pm – 6:30 am Sun – Thurs Mandatory OT every other Saturday (Fri into Sat.) other Saturday

Duration: 5 Months
Pay Rate: $23-$26 on W2 per hour.
Job Summary
The Machine Operator Tier 1 is responsible for operating production machinery, monitoring product quality, and ensuring efficient production processes. This role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to standard operating procedures, and effective communication to maintain quality, safety, and productivity standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operate production machinery while monitoring machine performance and product quality.
Perform minor machine adjustments using company-provided hand tools to maintain quality and production speed.
Conduct production activities, quality inspections, and handling of raw materials and finished goods.
Maintain equipment in proper working condition and report maintenance needs promptly.
Accurately complete production records, inventory logs, and quality documentation.
Review job sheets and approved proofs to ensure customer specifications are met.
Identify and initiate corrective actions for machinery-related issues and escalate when necessary.
Communicate quality, production, or maintenance issues to supervisors.
Ensure proper shift handover by communicating job and machine status to incoming operators.
Assist other operators as needed, including coverage during breaks and lunches.
Stock materials and prepare work areas for production.
Perform shredding of destruction materials according to procedures.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including routine shop floor cleaning.
Diagnose and resolve minor machine issues using training and hands-on experience.
Provide feedback on training materials and operating manuals.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Basic math skills.
Knowledge of basic hand tools.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and typing.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload effectively.
Ability to troubleshoot routine machine issues.
Ability to accurately complete documentation and checklists.
Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
Ability to work effectively and courteously with team members.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
Experience operating production machinery.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
Manufacturing environment with moderate noise levels.
Use of safety shoes and personal protective equipment as required.
Ability to distinguish colors.
Repetitive motion and strong hand-eye coordination required.
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
