Dixon Holedall, a proud division of The Dixon Group, is seeking an experienced CNC Set Up Operator to join our 1st shift manufacturing team in Houston, TX!

This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with strong CNC setup and troubleshooting experience who enjoys working in a team-oriented, production-focused environment.

What You'll Do: * Set up and operate CNC machines to run new and repeat production jobs * Install, measure, and verify cutting tools and offsets * Locate, install, and secure jaws and workholding devices in chucks or fixtures * Verify setups using blueprints, job travelers, and inspection tools * Monitor machining operations and make adjustments to ensure part quality * Identify and troubleshoot machining, tooling, or program-related issues * Perform routine daily machine maintenance and housekeeping * Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment * Cross-train and assist other operators as needed * Collaborate with team members, leads, and supervisors to meet production goals What We're Looking For: * High school diploma or equivalent required * Minimum 5 years of CNC setup and troubleshooting experience in a production environment * Ability to read and interpret blueprints, routings, and work instructions * Proficient with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, scales, gauges) * Strong understanding of CNC machining processes and tooling * Familiarity with G-code and basic program troubleshooting * High attention to detail and commitment to quality * Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment * Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset Preferred Qualifications: * Experience with Mazatrol-controlled machines * Exposure to minor program edits or offsets at the machine * Previous experience mentoring or training CNC operators Physical & Work Environment Requirements: * Ability to stand and move throughout the duration of the shift * Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds on a regular basis * Ability to work around industrial machinery, cutting tools, and metal parts * Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) What We Offer: * Medical, dental, and vision insurance for you and your family * Competitive salary * Bonus programs * 401K retirement plan * Training opportunities * Tuition reimbursement * Paid vacation, PTO, and holidays * Gym reimbursements, and more!
