Job Title: Weld EngineerJob Description The primary responsibility of this position is the development and implementation of a comprehensive, standardized welding program tailored to the plant's three core value streams: Carriages, Attachments, and Cylinders.
The role focuses on designing an airtight framework that establishes clear guidelines, best practices, and streamlined processes for all welding operations across these areas.
The objective is to ensure consistency, efficiency, and quality in weld practices while aligning with production goals and safety standards.
Responsibilities + Perform welding operative procedures and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS). + Cooperate with the production engineering department to improve Welding Process Technologies.
+ Conduct Welding Process Qualification and Welders Qualification.
+ Address and resolve suppliers' welding issues.
+ Analyze welding and metallurgical problems.
+ Collaborate with the Quality/Engineering Departments to verify the adequacy of the welding AWS or ISO 3834-2 processes ensuring correct execution.
+ Develop and document welding procedures that comply with AWS or ISO standards.
+ Implement quality assurance measures, including regular inspections, to verify compliance with AWS or ISO 3834.
+ Collaborate closely with the production engineering department to analyze current welding processes and identify opportunities for optimization.
+ Conduct thorough investigations to identify root causes of welding and metallurgical problems.
Essential Skills + Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technical Discipline.
+ Certified Weld Instructor (CWI) License/Certificate.
+ 3+ years of weld engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
+ 3+ years of weld robotics programming experience (Fanuc preferred), with the ability to program from scratch.
+ Experience and ability to physically MIG weld.
Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with weld robots.
+ Quality experience including root cause analysis PFMEA, PPAP, APQP, AWS, ISO 9001, 8D, A3, 5 Why's.
+ Metallurgical process experience.
+ Knowledge of weld technology, joining processes, root cause analysis, metallurgical engineering, ISO standards, AWS, PFMEA.
+ Nice to have ISO and AWS Quality standards.
+ Certified Weld Engineer Certification (CWE). Work Environment This is a fully on-site position with a 1st shift schedule from 7:30am to 4:15pm, averaging 40 hours per week.
There is rarely any weekend work.
The work environment is climate controlled, ensuring comfortable working conditions.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
