Join our team as a Machine Operator in the Bakery department, where you will be responsible for setting up, monitoring, and changing over food processing equipment to make pizzas. This role involves operating mixing machines, filling machines, and baggers, and working collaboratively in teams of 3-4.Responsibilities

Set up and operate mixing, filling, and grinding machines.

Switch between operating a mixer, filler, and grinding machine as needed.

Scoop cauliflower into a grinding machine to produce fine material, mix it with other ingredients to create dough.

Operate bagger machines, adjusting speed, temperature, and smart scale weights.

Read and interpret batch tickets for dough preparation.

Weigh and add specific amounts of raw materials and starches to each batch.

Operate a tumbler to mix materials with specific starches, flour, and egg as needed.

Monitor equipment on the production line, including mixers, fillers, ovens, presses, baggers, and cartoners.

Handle sanitation of machinery and perform visual and quality inspections.

Make adjustments, clear jams, and perform basic repairs using hand and power tools.

Lift up to 50 lbs and ensure compliance with GMP standards.Essential Skills

Experience working within a foods GMP environment.

Proficiency in machine operating, making adjustments, and clearing jams.

Experience with baggers, wrappers, films, cartoners, mixers, and fillers.Additional Skills & Qualifications

GMP experience.

The work takes place on the production floor within the toppings department. The facility is divided into a colder environment for toppings and a warmer environment for the bakery, with nine lines. Ambient temperatures range from 40 ree;F to 45 ree;F. The environment is clean, organized, and smells like pizza. Employees must wear safety shoes, smocks, hair nets, beard nets, hearing protection, hard hats, safety glasses, and non-slick shoes. Work activities include packing, stacking cases, sweeping, lifting up to 50 lbs, and loading ingredients. Flexibility to work in other areas as needed is required. Work is scheduled from Monday to Saturday, with Saturdays being mandatory if scheduled.Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Manteno, IL.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
