POSITION SUMMARY

The Project Manager for SkillsUSA Ohio is responsible for driving operational excellence through effective project management, process improvement, and system optimization. This role focuses on reviewing, refining, and standardizing organizational workflows, while leveraging tools such as Monday.com to enhance efficiency, visibility, and collaboration. Additionally, this position leads the development of structured, project-based programs that support and grow membership engagement, ensuring consistent, scalable, and high-impact experiences aligned with organizational goals. This position will work alongside the Executive Director developing project management pathways for our membership throughout our events.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience

· Bachelor’s degree in project management, Business Administration, Education, or related field

OR

· 3–5 years of experience in project management, operations, or program development

Skills & Competencies

· Strong project management and organizational skills

· Proven experience with Monday.com or similar tools

· Ability to analyze, design, and improve workflows and systems

· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

· Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities

· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

· Project Management certification (PMP, CAPM, or equivalent)

· Experience in nonprofit, education, or membership-based organizations

· Background in program design and engagement strategies

· Experience implementing or scaling project management systems

Some knowledge of SkillsUSA is preferred, while training will be provided on the topics listed above the individual should come in with a base knowledge of the SkillsUSA Program and benefits to students, school districts, and industry partners.

Key Responsibilities

Process Improvement & System Management

Evaluate, document, and continuously improve organizational workflows and operational processes

Lead the refinement and standardization of processes within Monday.com

Build and manage boards, templates, automations, and dashboards to support project visibility and accountability

Identify inefficiencies and implement scalable solutions to improve productivity and cross-team collaboration

Provide training and guidance to staff on best practices for utilizing Monday.com

Project Management & Operational Oversight

Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and deliverables for internal initiatives

Ensure alignment of projects with organizational priorities and strategic goals

Monitor progress, mitigate risks, and adjust workflows as needed to maintain efficiency

Maintain clear documentation, reporting, and project tracking standards

Program Development for Membership

Design and implement project-based programs that enhance member engagement, retention, and leadership development

Create repeatable frameworks and systems for membership initiatives using project management principles

Align program development with organizational objectives and member needs

Track program performance and recommend improvements based on data and feedback

Stakeholder Engagement

Collaborate with internal teams, educators, and partners to support program and operational success

Communicate project updates, timelines, and expectations clearly across stakeholders

Support relationship management with partners, sponsors, and volunteers

Operational Management

Support grant tracking, budget tracking, vendor coordination, and resource allocation related to projects

Maintain accurate records, workflows, and process documentation

Implement continuous improvement strategies based on outcomes and feedbackCompany Description
