Job Title: Warehouse Associate (1st Shift) ($20/hr.)
Job Description
Working Monday through Friday 10am-6pm.
Responsibilities
Work on the end of the packaging line, standing for the entire shift.
Package steel by banding large plates to customer specifications.
Learn and adhere to customer requirements for orders, including skidded wood runners, number of bands, and waterproof paper needs.
Collaborate with another packager to package 50-100 bundles a day.
Handle steel plates and sheets weighing 2,000-5,000 lbs per bundle.
Lift and transport bundles using plastic banding for 99% of tasks.
Read work instructions and coordinate with the team lead.
Operate a stacker machine, hand tools, nail gun, stapler, overhead crane, and tow motor.
Essential Skills
Experience with packaging, general labor, and packing.
Proficiency with hand tools and general production techniques.
Experience in manufacturing, particularly in steel manufacturing.
Ability to operate a forklift and overhead crane.
Capability to lift 50 lbs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Must have steel toe boots.
Experience in a fast-paced environment.
Overhead crane and steel packaging experience is a plus.
Forklift experience is advantageous.

Work Environment
The work environment is a steel manufacturing setting, which can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter. The facility features large garage doors for semi-truck loading and unloading, providing a dynamic and robust industrial atmosphere.Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Streetsboro, OH.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
