CNC Milling Machinist Requirements & Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree in machining or related field preferred

Proven experience as a CNC machinist, with a strong understanding of milling operations

Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints

Experience with G-code programming and CNC machine setup

Strong attention to detail and a focus on producing high-quality work

Ability to work independently and collaboratively

CNC Milling Machinist Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC milling machines to produce precision parts

Read and interpret blueprints and specifications for accurate machining

Program CNC machines using G-code and related software

Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure specifications are met

Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot machine issues as needed

Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve processes
