Position Overview:
The Project Manager plays a critical role in planning, executing, and delivering construction projects safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Serving as the primary leader and point of contact, the Project Manager oversees all phases of the project lifecycle, from pre-construction through closeout, while fostering strong collaboration between clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams. The Project Manager demonstrates effective leadership, proactive problem-solving, and strategic decision-making to ensure successful project outcomes and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Develop, track, and manage project budgets, cost forecasts, and financial reporting for all assigned projects
Partner with Superintendent to develop comprehensive safety plans and ensure compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and documentation requirements
Lead and contribute to pre-construction efforts, including proposal development, RFP coordination, and value engineering initiatives
Prepare RFP packages, negotiate, award, and issue subcontract agreements and bid packages while managing subcontractor performance and compliance
Schedule and facilitate project meetings, establish milestones, and prepare regular progress reports and monthly owner updates
Establish and oversee project controls, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay applications, and cost tracking, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
Develop and maintain project schedules and oversee logistics planning while adhering to company quality control standards throughout construction
Direct and manage project closeout activities, ensuring all deliverables, warranties, and final documentation are completed and delivered promptly
Supervise and support team members such as Assistant Project Managers and Project Coordinators/Administrators
Partner closely with field leadership, including Superintendents and site operations teams, to maintain seamless coordination from project kickoff through completion
Perform other project-related responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
Proven experience managing commercial construction projects from start to finish
Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate cross-functional teams
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in project management software, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite – experience utilizing Procore is a plus
Working knowledge of contract administration, project accounting, procurement, and cost control processes
Demonstrated ability to solve problems proactively, manage competing priorities, and operate with a strong sense of urgency
