Salary Range: $57,000 - $91,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and repair complex tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures used in manufacturing processes.

Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to create precise tooling.

Operate and maintain a variety of machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, grinders, and CNC machines.

Perform precision machining operations such as turning, milling, grinding, and EDM.

Inspect finished tooling for accuracy, quality, and adherence to specifications using precision measuring instruments.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues with tooling during production runs.

Collaborate with engineers and production staff to optimize tool design and manufacturing processes.

Maintain detailed records of tool modifications, repairs, and production performance.

Recommended Qualifications

Proven experience in a tool and die making role.

Proficiency in operating manual and CNC machining equipment.

Strong understanding of blueprint reading and GD&T.

Experience with precision measuring instruments and techniques.

Knowledge of various tool steels and heat treatment processes.

Ability to troubleshoot and repair tooling issues.

Bonus Qualifications

- Experience with CNC programming and operation

- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for tool design

- Knowledge of various heat treatment processes for tooling

- Experience with EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining)

- Familiarity with metrology equipment and precision measurement techniques
